Established in 2012, the Bhakta Classic has grown into being one of the premiere tournaments on the North American Indo-Pak/South Asian basketball circuit.

Each year our tournament participation has grown. For the first time ever, we are going to be offering four fields for teams to enter, including a Vet Division for the 30+ crowd.

We strive to put on a high quality event. Creating a fun experience on and off the court is our passion. We hope to provide an atmosphere that teams will continue to enjoy.
DIVISIONS
Elite Division (Advanced - Flight A)
Meant for teams who play at an advanced level. Open to all particpants. Current and former college/pro players who are under the age of 30 are only able to particate in this division.
Rec Division (Competetive - Flight B)
Meant for teams who play at a competitive level. Open to all participants except former or current college/pro ball players who are under the age of 30.
Community Division (Intermediate - Flight C)
Meant for teams who play at an intermediate level. Open to all participants except former or current college/pro players who are under the age of 40.
Vet Division (All players must be 30 and over)
Meant for the old heads who still want to compete. All particpants on team must have been born before Dec 31, 1994. No former college/pro players under the age of 40 allowed.
CHANGES FOR THIS YEAR
DIVSION PROMOTION
Our ultimate goal is to provide an even playing field for everyone. We've had a tough time recently of getting teams to register for our higher divisions. We are hoping enough teams will volunteer to play up this year to avoid this situation. Although teams may request to participate in a certain division, ultimate decision on placement will be at the discretion of the tourney committee. To help even things out, participation will be limited to 8 teams max per division. Placement will be based on number of teams entered, past tourney finishes, and roster makeup. All decisions will be final.
JERSEYS MUST BE PROVIDED BY ALL TEAMS
Although souvenier tourney shirts will be given to all participants, uniforms must be provided by all teams this year. All jerseys must have numbers, either on the front or back.
PARTICIPANTS MAY ONLY PLAY ON ONE TEAM
Players may only particpate on one team and one team ONLY! We will no longer be allowing players to play across multiple divisions for different teams (no exceptions). Please choose wisely.
